Go to Settings > About > Version to find out the version. . . . As far as jailbreaking, please give it some serious thought while you wait for someone to provide the information.

Just to be clear, I am a jerk, and I am opinionated.

Jailbreaking is not for everyone. Your post leads me to believe very strongly that jailbreaking is not for you
