How do I get the safari icon back on my iPad

somehow my safari icon has been deleted on my iPad. I downloaded the google app but this is an unsupported browser for so many pages. How do I

Unless you are jailbroken you cannot hide or delete built in apps like Safari. It must be hiding in a folder.

Use Spotlight to locate it - pull down on a blank area of your home screen and type Safari into the search box to see the folder where it's hiding. You can leave it there and run it from the folder, or you can do a long press to enter "wiggle" mode and move it out of the folder.
