How do I get rid of a gray bubble?

Grey bubble

Where I type a message there is a grey bubble with 0.00 in the bottom right.
Therefore I can't see what I am writing.
Does anyone know how I get rid of it.

I'm sorry but I can't imagine what you mean. Have you reviewed your settings? If they seem correct, you might want to consider a reboot.

That's the audio text. It's activicated by pressing the mic on the right side. Back up the cursor. Or send it. Try not to tap the mic on the right side.

This is not user error- it is a result of the newest update. The only (temporary) fix I have found is to reboot the message app- while it is open, push on/off until it asks for shutdown confirmation/cancel. Then, instead of either of those, press the home (thumb) button. It will reset the app and it will go away until it reappears again randomly.
