My iMessage info is my icloud account, even though my iMessages (new conversations) are to come from my phone #. I don't know how to change it.BNew conversations are to be started from my # when sending iMessages.

I'll assume you're referring to iMessage on your i-Device. Anyway, go to Settings - Messages - Send & Receive and then select your phone number and then de-select your Apple IDs, if listed.
