How do I fix a whiteout screen on iPhone 4

Wow... The iPhone 4 is really old. It might not be fixable. I would try to plug it into iTunes and get a backup, then restore the phone through iTunes to see if that helps. More than likely though the phone might need to be replaced.

First of all, hold the power and volume button down for 10 seconds. If the phone starts and you can use it, that's a happy ending.

If not: follow the steps in the previous replies.
