How do I delete the first city on my weather app? I'm in 8.1.2

I have tried replacing it with another city and I have tried swiping it to the left to delete it. Neither one works.

Do you have the app set to display weather for your current location? That's what it is... you can't delete it. You can go into settings for the app and turn off showing weather for your current location.

My iPhone weather app came with the city Cupertino on it. It won't let me delete it either. Frustrating! And New York was added by accident by me and I can't delete that either. Any help on how to delete places from it on the iPhone 6 plus? Thanks!

Bottom right hand corner click on the three lines. Then swipe left to delete.

Could not seem to find the settings for the app. I think this app was installed when I activated the phone, i think...

Don't press and swipe: I kept pressing to sweep, then I gently but quickly swept the city name to the right, VOILA! I cud see the Delete in red.
