Re: how to delete recently used apps on ipad
If they're third party apps...hold pressure on the app icon, and wait for the icons to all "jiggle". Then tap on the "X", and then when the pop up prompt asks if you want to delete the app, tap "delete".
If you just want to force shut down the apps you've used recently, double click the home button and swipe the pages from the apps used upwards to shut down.

You can also delete apps from the "usage" section in Settings. 3rd party only.
