In addition, you can install your wireless carrier's app, if available, and check your usage with it.

Most carriers also have a free number you can call and they will text you your usage.

Re: Help with mobile data

Go to setting, general , usage

Close. But if the OP wishes to check data usage on the cellular network, it would be Settings > Cellular and scroll down for the usage.

Note that the usage statistics do not reset automatically at the beginning of the billing cycle. The user needs to manually reset.

As said above, go to Settings?Cellular >Scroll down to "Reset". Reset that at the beginning of your billing cycle. It should be reset each month manually.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you had the option for it to reset automatically, on a day of your choice?

Yep.That would be nice.

That's also why I use the app "DataMan" monitor my data usage. You enter the day of the month that your billing cycle starts and it automatically resets on that day.

I like this feature in my "My Verizon" app. It shows what is using data. Generally. Here's my son's sheet. He's used 42% of our 10 gb. 5 more days

The myAT&T app displays similar information. We just moved from the FamilyShare plan to the MobileShare plan. Previously 3 accounts had unlimited, 2 did not - and the 2 that did not have unlimited data were always going over their caps. The new plan shares a data bucket - we got the 15gb plan that AT&T doubled to 30 gb for life):
