On my Android phones and tablets, I've been able to add my phone number to the lockscreens in case it gets misplaced and someone else finds it, they can easily see a number to text or call to let me know.

I'm not finding this in iOS anywhere, and I carry around an iPad and iPod touch sometimes.

Does anyone know how to do this or something like it? I've put on a sticker or tape before but it means my number is easily visible anywhere at any time rather than when someone intentionally is trying to look at the lock screen.

Not possible on iOS but I suppose you could create an image that shows your phone number and set it as your lock screen wallpaper.
Alternatively if someone finds your iPhone and knows what they’re doing they could always activate Siri and ask her “Who owns this phone?” I doubt most people would know to do that though.
