I only have wifi at work. My carrier will not reach my desk at work. How can I use the wifi to make calls and text on my iphone?

you need ti have a service provider that supports it...or use a 3rd party app/service.

You can text using iMessage and some carriers have wifi calling features. You might want to ask your carrier about getting that setup if they support it.
