How can I update my iphone 5, vs. 6.1.4 to 6.1.6? I don't want to install the 7 version, which I am prompted to.

You can only install the latest version your phone recognizes. All the version 6s are gone and we are now on 7.0.6 which is a minor upgrade. It is a good OS and you will like it.
