How can I tell if a friend request has been accepted via the walkie-talkie feature?

I read where you have to have the FaceTime app I guess on your phone? does it automatically work we have the FaceTime app in the background opened

someone I work with has a serious three and she tried to request me but it says I’m unavailable when my walkie-talkie is turned on

Re: walkie-talkie feature

I’m not sure, because FaceTime and iMessage are part of iOS and are installed by default.
You just have to make sure both are enabled and logged in.
Then try inviting each other again for Walkie Talkie.

i’m new to Apple Watch. how do you know if someone accepts your friend request on The walkie-talkie feature

When you open the Walkie-Talkie app on your Apple Watch, click on your Friend’s name and your watch will check if they are available. If they are available, their watch Walkie-Talkie app will ring to notify them to answer. Your friend will need to make themself available first, to receive your call.
