How can I sync back all my photos to my iOS devices?

Hey there everyone!! I got updated my MacBook Pro and iOS devices (iPhone 5 and iPad 3) to the recent upgrades... A couples hours ago when I synced my devices 90% of my photos got removed from my iPhone and iPad... how can I sync them back? I don't want to use iCloud since my photo collection oversizes the 5 GB free limit... Please help!! I literarily pulling my hair out trying to find a solution... :'(

Did you have a backup? Did you do an OTA update or via iTunes?
