How can I retrieve my lost ringtones after updating to iOS 8.1.2?

I had the same problem, but only with recent ringtones I bought. If you purchased them in the last 90 days, go to your email receipt & click on the link that says "report a problem".

You'll be promoted to login to you account, select the ringtone from your recent purchases, and from the drop down menu there should be an option that says: Didn't download/doesn't appear on device, or something like that.

Once you pick that, you should have an option to resend it to the download que on your iPhone or computer. After that, you should be good to go.

You're killing me, Smalls....that sterile fix may work on your phone but it did nothing for mine. Nothing was recovered and nothing appeared under Tones.

Any other ideas, aside from Apple's fix that doesn't work?

They were downloaded from Rock Ringtones a LONG time ago. They were freebies.

Why the heLL would Apple be so stupid to provide a "fix" that screws things up worse?

This Iphone crapola is becoming worse than Microsoft.
