How can I remove the iTool off my iPhone 4S without restoring to factory settings? How can I install iTunes?

iPhone 4S does not have iTunes

Inherited iPhone 4S does not have "active" iTunes. Son has installed iTools for music. Want to get rid of this and use iTunes. When linked, iTunes advises me to restore to factory. Do not want to do this. Have all contacts, apps, etc installed.

Is that the only option available? It sounds as if your computer sees your iPhone. Are you able to do a backup through iCloud? If so, you could back up to iCloud, restore to factory, and then dons restore from iCloud.
