my iPhone 5c sporadically returns to the apple startup screen when clearing multitasking...how do I fix this

How can I prevent my device from re-starting when clearing the multitasking list?

I have no idea why that is happening. Is your device jailbroken? Are you running out of device storage space? You may have a faulty setting. Try going to Settings - General - Reset and then select "Reset All Settings" to see if that helps. If not, you may need to restore your device and set it up as new.
