How can I move pictures from the camera roll into a folder I have made?

Example: I took pictures on a vacation and they are in the camera roll. Now I want to move them into the folder Vacation 2015. I cannot find an option to move the pictures to the right folder.

I think it can be done with ITunes.

Welcome to iMore! Here you go:
1. Open Photos and tap Select

2. Select the photos you want to move and then tap Add To

3. Select an album to add the selected photos

4. Keep in mind the photos will still be in your camera roll. Deleting them there will delete them from the album as well.

this is important enough to isolate as a reminder. Don't clean up camera roll -- your photos will be gone (though you have 30 days to recover)

As a side note, the photos showing in 2 places will not take twice the storage space.

I would also add that you can organize your pictures in ALBUMS not FOLDERS.

I do not believe that you can manually control the folders in which the files reside.
