How can I get passed the "waiting for activation" process when trying to use FaceTime?

My facetime has never worked it always says "waiting for activation" & im signed in and all so i dont know whats wrong

When you say it has never worked- how long have you been trying? I would sign out- do a hard reset and and then try to sign back in

What phone/OS are you using? There were a lot of Facetime errors that were fixed with iOS6. Is yours a new device on a new OS? Let us know what device and iOS you're on.
