How can I get my iphone c to "wake up"

I turned the phone off before plugging it in last night and the apple icon stayed lit. Now I am getting no response from it when hitting on/off switch

My suggestion would be to do a hard reset. Hold the power & home button at the same time until you see the  logo. Then release the buttons and wait for it to finish. Hopefully this will solve the problem for you. Thanks!
