How can I get my contacts back to normal?

I

iMore Question

I have an iphone 6s and I just recently completed the current update for the phone. Our family has a shared i tunes account. When I updated the phone all contacts from the other phones show on mine. What did I do wrong and most importantly how can I just go back to my phone contacts?

Do you all use one apple account? Or are you talking about family plan?

If the first, that will be contacts that are stored in icloud, and not on your device. That could be remidied by switching contacts sync in the icloud options,

But it's more advisable if each got their own account and set up a family plan for buying things from the app store or itunes.

Welcome to iMore! If you share the same Apple ID, that happens. It's ok to share the iTunes ID, but not iCloud, iMessage and Facetime. You should all have your own iCloud, iMessage and Facetime ID's. You can still share the iTunes ID for purchases. Or do Family Sharing.
