How can I get game progress to follow in backup and restore to a new device?

i have a poker game on an iPad that I have advanced a long way on (not that it is real or anything).

But, when I backed up and restored to a new iPad Pro, the app transferred but the progress is not there.

Any thoughts?

They either do or don't. It seems it's up to the developer whether to include achievements and progress or not. Do you still have the back up? Do you still have the iPad the game is on? Try contacting the developer and see if they can help. Maybe someone else has a better idea.
