How can I enable the battery percentage meter on my iPhone 5 ?

I recently purchased this iPhone 5 about a week ago and I'm trying to find out how to enable the little battery percentage meter that you see on the iPhone 4S I tried checking over all the settings and I cannot find it if anybody is willing to help me with this situation it would be greatly appreciated
