How can I connect my iPhone 6s to an LCD Projector

I would like to use my 6s on an LCD Projector for my students to watch a movie. How can I do this, are there any special cords or adapters that I need to bug? The projector does have a audio and video in.

Get an AppleTV connected to the projector and AirPlay from the phone to the AppleTV/projector.
