Home screen rotation lock but not global lock?

Is it possible to lock the home screens so they do not rotate but still keep normal rotating on? Like such as in youtube, emails....etc...

I am thinking of going from a 6 to a 6 plus but I can't stand how the home screen rotates all the time? I would much rather have the home screen locked just like on the regular 6 but still have my apps be able to rotate the screen.

Nope but I would also love to see this. I keep mine locked all the time and unlock it as needed.

I notice certain sites videos appear in landscape mode even tho I'm locked to portrait. It's not very many tho. This would be a nice feature. I think fandango is one.

Well, not sure it will produce the exact desired result, but if Zoom Display is in Zoomed mode (instead of Standard), the homescreen won't rotate (at least as of now - who knows if this will change in a future update). There are some tradeoffs, like landscape in Mail doesn't seem to have the two pane look, etc. But 3rd party apps shouldn't be affected (or at least I haven't noticed it during my "zoomed" phases).

I wonder if anyone has emailed Apple with that suggestion. I would guess Apple already hear comments on it. Of course they rarely do things people really want.

Like another example would be to put a kill all tasks button when you double click to end tasks. That would be much better than doing them one by one. That is a no brainier actually.

Send Apple feedback. I've seen things implemented that I gave feedback on. I doubt it was from my feedback directly but it's possible a few hundred thousand people or more gave the same feedback.

Why add something you don't need? The OS handles what runs and what doesn't. No need to "kill apps".

This is a feature I would love to see. Right now I have to lock my home screen and unlock it on an as needed basis which is pretty annoying if you as me. This is my own complaint about the 6+ so far!

At one point wasn't the toggle switch on the iPad assigned to handle muting or rotation? If so I wish this was the case with the 6 plus.

It's possible there is jailbreak tweak to get that feature but the downside is you'd have to be jailbroken.
