Hide Sidebar in Notes App?

Does anyone know if it's possible to hide the sidebar in notes.app? You can hide or reveal the folder view, but I can't find that there's a way to hide the note picker on the left.

I use Notes when reading PDFs for my research, and I typically run them fullscreen: PDF Expert on the left and Notes on the right. The problem is, on my 13" screen I could save a lot of space if I could hide both of the sidebars. You can do it in iOS.

You can't hide the sidebar, I'm sorry. But you can open a single note by double-clicking on it in the sidebar. Maybe that helps your use-case…

Aha, that does the trick perfectly. The popped out single note lacks the side bar, including when you put it into full-screen / split screen. Thank you!
