Hey Siri

Hi

Having just moved from android the OK Google detection would work from a distance. This hey Siri is ok if I'm holding the phone but on the tv advert it shows a guy saying hey Siri and the phone is behind him in the kitchen!!

Any ideas how to make a bit more sensitive?

I find mine works for a good three to five feet away from my device

Make sure all your volumes are on max including the voice volume when in a call by hitting the up volume rocker

I used it in the kitchen the other day on my iPhone 6s plus. However, I was within the 3-5 foot range mentioned by kataran. "Hey Siri, set my timer for XX minutes." worked every time without fail. It was not plugged in but just propped up against the wall on my counter.
