Help with jail breaking!

I just got my iPhone 3G the other day and I want to jail break it. I followed the new jailbreaking 2.2.1 exactly how it says to. But when its all finished it says no service and i cant make phone calls, text, email, nothing that requires a cell signal.

Same problem here for 3 days tried all versions no service unless i turn off 3g

yea i had the same exact problem....give it a lil more time....the 2.2.1 update just came yesterday!

same issue as me! Has anyone figured out what to do? Also, everytime I connect my phone to itunes on multiple computers it asks me about the carrier update which I've now done many, many times.....help if anyone can!
