Help with iTunes error

Try restoring it through iTunes whilst it is in recovery mode. Turn the phone off and hold down the home button while connecting it to iTunes. Keep the home button held down until your phone turns on and says it is in recovery mode. You should see a prompt on your computer that a device is connected in recovery mode and you should be able to restore it from that.

The iTunes update servers are likely seeing heavy volume... The error seen can happen when iTunes can't reach a server to get the ipsw.
