Help: Text Message sounds

Does anyone know how to transfer text tones from the computer (Mac) to the iPhone without jailbreaking?

I know how to get ringtones on the iPhone but text message tones are not the same as ringtones.

Using iPhone 3G S with OS 3.0.
Mac Pro with 10.5.7, iTunes 8.2

To my knowledge, there is no way to do this without jailbreaking. Sorry.... only ringtones.
