Back in September, I upgraded my iPad Pro gen 2 to a gen 3. Mainly to go from 512 GB to the 1 TB storage. I decided to give my gen 2 to my mom.

We set it up back then, but we were having some trouble with setting up email, which would have been what she wanted to use it for the most. Because of that, she went back to her laptop for that. Her laptop is now starting to go, and she decided to try the iPad again.

Yesterday, I tried to give her a tutorial on how to use it. Problem, we can’t remember the passcode set up to unlock it. She wasn’t able to set up the Touch ID because her fingerprints are pretty worn down. I tried plugging it into my MacBook to reset it that way, but we need the Apple ID that was set up for it, and we can’t remember that either.

Is there any way to reset it without all that, or do I now just have a brick?

If you can't remember any of the things, you'll need to contact Apple. If you remember the Apple ID but not the password for the Apple ID, there are a few things here to try. There's also step for if you can't remember the Apple ID. - https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201487
