Help removing my old 4s now that I have a 5

Hi everyone, sorry if this has been covered or if its in the wrong location. I have been trying to remove my old 4s from my account but I can not find manage devices in my account on iTunes, it's no where to be found, I now have a 5 and sold my 4s to a friend, however when my friend restores his account at the set up screen it shows my email address as well as his. Everything I could find says to manage devices, Any help would be great thanks

Is this all being done on your comp ? You don't need to remove a device from iTunes ... On the phone go to general setting reset all .. It will wipe the phone to factory

Sounds weird but what worked for me was going to Find My iPhone and then delete it from there. Then you will be able to delete your old backup and it shouldn't show up.

I have deleted the iPhone properly however the old phone shows in my devices on find my , I read I have to disassociate it from my account but I can't find where to do it

In the app you can do that but that has nothing to do with anything once phone is wiped it can't be traced .. Your email is showing because when using iTunes to restore it pulls your apple I'd from iTunes .... Just wipe phone from phone itself and don plug into your comp and it won't show any of your info at all an your buddy can set it up with there's and hook to there comp
