help...not recognizing contacts on calls or text after update

Downloaded the new update...everything went well but when a phone call came in from wife it no longer identified her as a contact just her phone number. The same for text...all my contacts are still there but it is not recognizing them on calls or text

Plug it into iTunes and uncheck the contacts option. Sync. Reverse the process.

Same thing happened to me after the update. Performed *228 and option 1 as stated above and contacts are now being recognized. Great tip.

This recently started happening with my wife's VZN iPhone 4. When she gets a text now just the number shows up, rather than the corresponding name in her address book. What exactly does this "*228 Option 1" tip actually do?

It re activates your phone on the. Network and updates setting in your phone mine did the same thing untill I did the 228 ... In the setting it had my number listed as 1231231234 and once I did it it showed (123)123-1234 then all contacts matched fine Sony assume it has to do with the formatting
