So next, next day i will be having my iphone 5
and i'm really excited. I've read in some blogs and articles that
some Iphone 5 comes with a damage, or whatsoever.
so basically i'm asking your help on what to inspect in my iphone 5?
This iphone 5 will be my last phone for now. So i want it to be perfect :D

This are what i'm planning to expect right in the store:

1. Of course i would check for scratches
2. I will trt the sound(is there a default sound in which i can play to check the volum or sound of the iphone?)
3. check if the earpods are working
4. check the camera.
5. shake the phone if there are sounds
6. check the home button that mig be loose.

that's all i can think, if you guys have any advice
on what to inspect please post it.

Are you buying it new from Apple or an Apple authorized reseller? If so don't worry about it. You can exchange it.

The button at the top as well as the home button.

Think about bring your own headphones to test that the audio jack is working. I wouldn't want to use earbuds that belonged to someone I didn't know.

Assuming you are somewhere you can do this, check to make sure it can connect to a wifi network.

Check that the camera works with and without a flash.

got it. i'll be doing that. but can't i do it using the earpods?

i don't know if globe are resellers and i'm not sure if globe will exchange it for us. the service here in philippines is kinda f***k.

You can use the earpods. I'm just referring to the "yuck factor" of using them after being in a stranger's ears.

A dead pixel shows up as a black spot most noticeable on a light background.

thanks for the advice sir. i'll try to look for photos of dead pixels
so i would know if i see one,
