Help jailbreaking with 4.2.8

A buddy of mine is trying to jailbreak his ViP. He's running 4.2.8.

I'm already jailbroken but am running 4.2.7. Does anyone know what program he could use? He was able to JB with Greenpois0n but the Cydia store is missing and the launcher app doesn't work.

Any help is appreciated!

Depends also on if you are running a PC or a Mac.

PC = Sn0wbreeze

Mac = Pwnage tool 4.2 with 4.2.8 bundle (bundle has recently been pulled from download site, trying to find another source)

Im the buddy that needs help...

When I use greenpois0n, the loader wont open on my phone. If i use redsn0w, it comes up with an error and now I am using pwnage 4.1.1 (4.1.2 wouldnt open), I select my IPSW (Iphone3,3_4.2.2_8E401_Restore.ipsw) and it says Wrong Firmware Bundle Selected.

Untethered 4.2.8 Jailbreak Verizon CDMA iPhone4 for Mac Using Pwnage Tool | iPhoneBlogr.com download the 3 links from there (Main Page Article) and follow the instructions (of course this is if your on a Mac) Greenpoison is NOT compatible with 4.2.8 and you may want to do a stock restore before trying again. Or use Rusty's link for Windoze
