Help! I lost my playlists, switching PC's

I recently transitioned to a new Windows 7 PC and I thought I would just physically remove my storage drive with my all my music from my old Vista PC and plug it in to my new PC. However while iTunes sees the music files, it doesn't see any content in my custom playlists and it overwrote the library file as well. My old PC doesn't seem to have a backup point or I could try to find a copy of the file and try to rebuild. I had also synced my iPhone which had some of my playlists before I noticed the problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions of how to get them back? Or are my playlists just hosed? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Probably they are hosed.

When u opened iTunes for the first time did you select your old library or did u just let it make a new one ?
