Has anyone updated to iOS 8.1.1 on 5C?

I've been waiting to update it as some reviews I've read have not been favorable. Anyone have any input? Have you updated or waiting also? Thing is, being my first iPhone, I have no clue if they will just push the update through eventually regardless, if I don't do it myself. (When I had my android phone, they just pushed an update through making my phone pretty much a paper-weight). 😠

I have one of my test 5c's on 8.1.1 and both of my kids have 5c's on 8.1.1

No issues at all.

OH... an Apple never forces an update. You will be noticed, but you have the option to install it or not.

The update may be automatically downloaded, but it won't be installed unless you choose to install it.

It seems to be running great on my 5c. Cleared some space and a little less safari crashes too.

It automatically install the latest update when I was doing my iCloud restore to my new iPhone 5C! In all fairness to Apple; it seems to be as peppy as the 7.1.2! At least I don't notice any significant differences.
