Groups in Mail question

My contacts appear nicely on my iPhone 5 and sync over iCloud with no problem. This includes Groups I have created. When I use Mail on the phone it does not recognize groups in the address line the way my Mac (Lion) does. In other words, when I type the name of a group in the To line it does not capture the members of that group. Am I doing something wrong or has Apple left this feature out of iOS?.

Thanks,

Ed Brady

It is missing from the Mail app in iOS. On the bright side, there are lots of 3rd party apps that can add it back for you, like ContactsXL.

Thanks for the help. I'll look for an app, but this is disappointing. I thought the idea was to make a seamless experience among all my (many) apple devices both OS and iOS. Maybe Apple really is losing its edge.

yes the built-in Mail app cannot use groups you created, you can only add contacts from a group but you have to do it one by one. And you have to use 3rd party apps to do that an easier way.
