Group Messaging?

Hello everyone!

So recently, I've received some group text messages (most MMS/picture messages). I've replied to a couple of them, then I get a weird response from someone else on that the message was sent to.

I finally realized that the text message was being sent to everyone that the original picture was sent to. I've also had the reverse happen - someone texts back a response to the picture message and I get their reply.

If I turn off "Group Messaging" on my iPhone, will that stop all of this? In my opinion, this is a terrible feature and I would really like to find a way to stop this from happening!
