Google is arguably the most powerful company on the planet with the only company they occasionally bow down to being Apple (the power of Apple to simply change what is default in iOS is unmatched). Google’s news is the most read and they have the ability to deliver whatever web search results to over 90% of all searches. Only non oil companies to make more profit is Apple and Microsoft (though Google’s only profitable main category is advertising).
Given all that, it is just sad watching Google flail at messaging.

They flail or are a junk show beyond that. I manage Google and Microsoft tenants. Workspace, their chat, and attempts to compete with Teams and Slack are no way as feature rich and powerful as others. It is a matter many probably don't see or understand. An okay suite for basic stuff but not the tools or power a lot of jobs and work places need.

Overall I have no complaints about what their advertising business has done for the amount of stock I own but with all I do, over and over I find some key Apple and Microsoft capabilities are best.

Ofcourse they are. Google proprietary version of rcs isn’t a standard and apple has no obligation to use it.

Anything google creates has only one purpose and that is to harvest user data for ad purposes.

There is a reason 80% of googles revenue and almost 95% of thier profit are from ads.

"Google has one purpose and that is harvest your data" = yes. This is their raison detre, They are the best harvesting of data->predicting behavior the world has ever seen by many orders of magnitude.

"almost 95% of their profit are from ads" = no. 110+% of their profit is advertising. Google financially reports on 3 categories: Advertising, Cloud, Other(such as licensing, Pixel phones, chromcast sticks etc etc). Cloud and Other both lose money and I don't believe have ever been profitable. In Google's last ER they would have made 10% more profit if their only category was advertising business. :)

BTW, Great diagram FFR. It isn't surprising at all. To me the only thing surprising is people so willing to let themselves be recorded at such a granular level. Most of these same people would be shocked if a nameless, faceless person followed them from the moment they wake up until the moment they went to bed including everywhere outside home they went to. Or if they were to be told the dark plexiglass circle on their TV is a sensor sensing all their movements. Yet carrying around a Google installed Android device tracks better than the stranger and TV sensor put together and by quite a lot. My explanation is that some of these people think only in the analog world. A faraway computer recording their movements, typed thoughts, financial transactions etc etc etc is ok. Just not good...

That’s a valid point.

Unfortunately google only profits from ads, google does not make anything off the pixel, the pixels are having problems due to its Samsung fabricated soc.

Not surprised at all. Google (and Apple and Samsung etc) put money and resources into profitable to thriving divisions and/or divisions that show a clear path to profitability (think Xbox and Microsoft's big losses in the beginning before massively profiting). Google is not putting big resources into hardware as much as they do their best to copy Apple and -- gasp! :) -- Samsung. But in reality Google is at best only a semi serious phone hardware maker. Now Google did buy Motorola but it was not to expand their ability in mobile phones, it was a shot across the bow of Samsung's attempt to make their own mobile OS. That frightened Google. But Samsung dropped it then "Google bought Motorola for $12.5B, sold it for $2.9B". That huge loss was primarily about Samsung.

But Google does have a major Pixel success, their YT channels do love the Pixel. Best! Phone! Eva! several years now :) :)
