Gold 5S on T-Mobile

Starting this thread for all folks on T-Mobile still waiting for their backordered iPhone 5S Gold. I have been waiting since launch day now (64 Gb version) with my device on Backorder and thought it is time we share the pain of waiting together :tongue:
Is there anybody whose order has shipped yet, or are all in the same boat...

lol, you know I'm just joking with you. I really wished they were as big as the other two carriers with their LTE service since they are shaking things up and being very competive.

Did you buy directly from T-mobile and that is why you are waiting? I ordered mine (T-mobile 64 GB Gold) from Apple @ 12:01 on 9/20 and received it 9/25 and selected free shipping. Hope you get yours soon.

Yup, bought it directly from T-Mobile as i wanted it with JUMP. I think my mistake was waiting till the 2nd half of the day to order. Was hoping to pick one up from the T-Mo store but that didn't work out.

I switched over to T-Mobile from AT&T about half a year ago. Love their unlimited everything plan, JUMP program (insurance plus upgrade every six months?!?! You bet!!) and they have great signal at work and home for me.

I ordered my 5S around 4:20am Friday morning and had it the following Monday. Loving it. Good luck getting your gold from them! Hope it works out well...

Ordered mine (64gb gold tmo) at 140am on website. Eta est delivery was today sep 26th with backordered status. Still no tracking or email update. They haven't even charged me yet. Just a pending order. I called and they refunded the $24.99 i paid for saturday overnight shipping(being hopeful that i would actually get it sep 21st even tho i knew i wont) and told me sometime in beginning of october and have a nice day.

I ditched at&t for T-Mobile yesterday ... For me in Peoria Az I get very similar service for half the cost. I bought my AT&T iPhone 5S and did the tech support chat and they unlocked it for me (at&t) since I paid retail. I found a service on craigslist that unlocked my other 3 iPhones for $9.99 a piece. Now all our phones are on T-Mobile, couldn't be happier! While I am not waiting for a phone to ship I can at least be the 1 other Tmobile customer on here ;-)

I paid for overnight shipping thinking it would be in stock because I ordered it exactly at 3:02am, sept 20, but later got a message saying backorder. Delivery date is for tomorrow and it has yet to ship. Hopefully it'll ship tomorrow and I'll get it Tuesday! They told me they should get them in this weekend. If not, I'll just go with Apple. They should start in store pickup tomorrow.

I think they are all unlocked. I'm reading where Verizon's works on AT&T, AT&T works on T-mobile, T-mobile work on the other two. I don't know about Sprint though. If you look at Apple's web site, it's the same model # for all 4 carriers.

Not quite. Verizon is SIM unlocked so it will work on ATT and tmobile. Tmobile is unlocked and will work on ATT but not Verizon. ATT is locked and won't work on tmobile unless you pay full price and they unlock it for you. Like tmobile even unlocked ATT won't work on Verizon because Verizon uses CDMA for voice.

Depends completely on your "current sim". Best to ask T Mobile about that. Example- if your current SIM was Vodaphone, then no- because Vodaphone is Verizon and Verizon is CDMA.

It will work for 3G GSM speeds.

For LTE, yes, as long as your current phone carrier SIM and the tmobile phone support the same LTE bands. Check with your carrier to find out which LTE bands they support and with Apple for the bands supported by the phone.

Still no gold 5S from TMo. I have a 16gb and 32gb Space Grey from them but no gold! I called to check on my order and they're saying to call back within 72hrs to see whats going on. MAYBE I'll have it next week. =(

I've been checking the iPhone store availability website since I found out about it hoping that I'd find one local sooner than they can ship it but it looks like I'll actually be ordering online and canceling my order with TMo and sending the space grey models that I have on back.
