Unless you have some non-FUD, serious reasons for doing so I don't see the point.

The fact that someone else wants to spread their information across the data centers of 3-5 different companies doesn't mean you should, either.

Exactly.

The truth of the matter is that Google services not only work well, but they work well across multiple platforms. I'm pretty much all in with Google after being on Android for several years, and when I get my 6s Plus in two weeks or so I'm going to continue using Google services on my iPhone and use almost no Apple services. I already don't use any Apple services with my Mac, and Google services will work across all of my devices for personal use and for work.

I just don't see the point in switching just to switch. What's that? Google will learn about me based on my pictures that I store on their servers? They'll find out that I have a dog, have nephews, go to lots of concerts, and eat really yummy looking food. Oh no! What ever will I do?
