Good day people,

I just shifted to iPhone 6 / iOS 8.3, from Android, where in i could perform several actions by simply making swipes (gestures) on screen (eg: moving my finger from top right to halfway bottom and that would take a screenshot) or whatever action assigned to that particular swipe (gesture).

Can the gestures & favorites available in assistive touch button, perform similar task ? i am particularly interested in performing 2 actions using specified gestures (swipes):

turn screen ON (without the use of Power button)
turn screen OFF (without the use of Power button or the screen off option in assistive touch button - which is kinda lengthy ?)

I hope i don't sound too dumb but i have always used Android, heavily modded & tweaked to my liking / preference. Wondering the extend i can do the same in iOS.

Thanks in advance guys.

No, this would not be possible. . . . You have to press either the Power button or Home button for these actions.
