Via iMore in Tapatalk, then on the 3 parallel lines on the top right corner, it brings out the menu from the first picture and then in 'Messages', deleting them there does the job =P

Yep! It worked.
I did not do it through the "Notifications section" of Tapatalk, though.
But via the iMore forum in Tapatalk (which is literally like forums.imore.com).
So yeah, I checked on iMore's forums and my private messages were gone ;)
