When taking a pic with the front camera is the flash white or yellow? Mine is yellow and it seems to not take great pics.

Without getting into too many technical details it depends on your overall light source. If your pictures are coming out yellow it's most likely because your overhead lights give off a yellow cast. It's a teeny, tiny flash, it's not going to be able to override your main light source.

The flash is yellow.
This is a screenshot of the flash.

I think I misunderstood. I thought they were talking about the flash making their pics yellow. This is from the screen when it "flashes?" So warmer verses cool like traditional flashes are. Makes sense to me. It's like adding a gel to an external flash.

There isn't actually a traditional flash on the front of the iPhone. The 6s and 6s Plus have a dedicated display chip that is able to make the screen three times brighter than normal. This chip's sole purpose is to provide a "flash" for taking selfies using the FaceTime camera.

And a bonus is it works great in low light.
