Ok, in my defense, I don't think I forgot it actually.

I think I typed it in incorrectly twice, hitting the tiny numbers on the Watch making the same typo twice. The Watch took it, and when it finally needed to be entered I typed in a different one. My phone usually unlocked the Watch. Oy. C'mon wOS4!

So I had to erase and Restore from backup, something I've done a few times before (password unrelated, I'm not a complete ***** lol) and dreaded.

The good news and point of the post— it was much easier and quicker than in times past. I'm not sure why. iOS 10.3.2? watchOS 3.x? Series 2? d) all of the above?

I didn't time it, so I'm guessing around 10min from the starting of the Erase process to a finished Restore from backup? I didn't even have to take the Watch off.

It still takes way too long for the Watch to start up. That Apple just seems to sit there forEVER. But it was still much quicker than in times past. FYI.

Totally agree -- reset/restart times on the AW are waaaay too long.
