iPhone has no carrier branding on the device or box. No splash screen or anything. Only thing you will see Verizon are the apps you download and the word Verizon next to the signal strength

Verizon has 3G in a lot of places AT&T doesn't.... like where I live. AT&T barely has 2G coverage here

That is a verizon Iphone you can tell by the picture of the phone on the box has an antenna bar above the mute switch.
