find my iphone play sound question

My phone was stolen and I put my phone in lost mode. My phone is off and it says that the play sound feature will play once the phone is turned back on. I was just wondering if anyone knows how this feature works exactly. Will it play one time or will it keep playing a sound for every time I click it? I've been clicking repeatedly, hoping it will keep playing when and if they turn the phone on.

Well it will keep on playing as long as you keep on clicking.

You do not have to keep clicking the play sound feature. Once the device is powered on, it will emit a siren type sound. I can't recall how long the sound emits, but it is effective.

thats weird I have to keep clicking on mine for it to emit sound.
