Just downloaded OS 10 for my watch and facet no longer works with the new OS.

Perhaps the App's developer needs to update the App.

I had to erase my watch and reinstall everything and that worked.

I'm just curious: why not use the built-in Photos or Portrait watchface for something like that? You don't need a dedicated app to get a face that looks like that.

On Facer there are a lot more faces then apple has period.

But using an app like that uses more battery than the standard faces. It's really quite simple to add a Photo watchface right from a downloaded photo. In fact, it's right in the share sheet on your iPhone - open a Photo, hit the share icon, one of the items in the list is "Create watch face".
