Before the launch of iPhone X, i read several articles about these small but really useful features built around FaceID where in, if you are getting an incoming call or notification, if the phone determines you are already looking at it, it will lower the volume automatically. Has anyone been able to verify it? In my experience, i haven't seen it work yet. I wonder if there is a setting somewhere that i need to enable.

Cheers!!

It works that way with my wake up alarms. The phone is across the room, once I’m in frint of my phone and looking at it, the volume lowers. I have experienced the same with a phone call.

I guess I haven't paid much attention. I'll be sure to keep this in mind the next time I get a phone call.

Well That explains what I've seeing lately. I've received a couple of calls while I'm in my car and look at the phone and the ringer does get lower.

Yes, that’s one of the feature of Face ID. Your phone rings not as loud because it knows that you’re already looking at your phone and have your attention. I really like this feature.
