This is how it has always been. The purpose of Nonsensical short videos is to maintain viewer retention. The plot and any intended message are left up to us to interpret. The algorithm pushes these bs Reels because it allows Meta to keep users on their platform for as long as possible. excellent tool for retention. I occasionally question whether they're doing a social experiment to see how simple it is to enrage folks in the comments section. After a few of those, I'm not sure if the effectiveness remains; I now completely disregard them.
